Mind mapping is a great visual tool that allows you to identify the main characteristics of a concept and the links that exist between different areas of the concept. Using different colours can also act as trigger points or cues when recalling information.

What a great software application!!! You can create more than a virtual mind map or web, this application allows you to link files, videos, images and more. My son used this to refine his modern history summaries for WW1 and it did really help him get a better idea of how the content links together. While it takes a while to get it together, the end product is well worth it. If you’d rather spend time on the computer and are looking for an approach to motivate you, this may be for you
